What a Weekend

Alright, so according to Shelby, I left you guys with a “total cliffhanger”.  Well, what happened was I got some news that upset me, and when I am upset it is best for me to just stop what I am doing because I would have ended up posting EVERY ANGRY thought I had.  So, to save face I just packed up.  Everything is much better now.  I am over it.  As Erik says, I don’t hold grudges, I just remember things really well!!

So, last week was so much fun playing in that snow.  We had a blast Wednesday.  My cousin Brooks came over and I haven’t hung with him in forever.  It was just like old times.  A bunch of my cousins and friends met out over at my Nannies house Wednesday with sleds and four wheelers, and buddy we went to town.  We had a blast tearing up the snow, and slinging everyone off.  Anyone that knows me knows that I go all the way or no way at all, and believe me I have a body full of bruises to prove it.  If we weren’t flying off the sled, we weren’t having fun.  I will provide a picture of the sled.  It no longer exists.  We definitely got our $23.00 worth out of it.  I guess that means another trip to the Bass Pro Shop for us!! 

Alright, so Thursday Erik finally got off the mountain and he came out to the house.  We went to lunch with momma at McDonalds (she had to go back to work) and than we went to Nannies house just to chill.  We ended up playing Clue with Nannie for an hour, and than we played another game of it with Aunt Sis and Nannie that no joke lasted almost two hours.  It was INTENSE haha.  So when we finished we went back to my house.  I made homemade peanut butter oatmeal cookies with peanut butter chips and choc chips.  Yea, basically the best cookies ever made.  Momma said that they would be “too dry” because in her opinion I added to much oatmeal, but they turned out perfect according to everyone else.  Our friend Zak came over and we piled up to watch Case 39.  Ok, so after trying to watch it on the blue ray player and than the DVD player, the disc still continued to skip, so we just rented it off TV.  Alright, ridiculously scary movie.  I am a big chicken.  I do not know what possessed me to watch this.  It was horrible!!  Needless to say, I was scared driving over to my Nannies house that night. 

The next morning, I sadly had to go back to work.  I don’t get why they made us go back Friday.  We already missed the whole week, there was NO sense in that AT ALL!!  Anyways, enough griping.  That morning me and Erik met for breakfast at Cafe 302, the BEST cafe in the WORLD!!  (Alright so if anyone from Cafe 302 reads this, that’s free advertisement right there, aka you can def hook me up with some discounts!! Just saying)  Anyways, we concocted a plan for me to sneak Erik to work with me.  So I went on into work, and I scoped things out, and got the clear for Erik to come.  We snuck him in the backdoor, and he hung out with me and my kids.  That was fun, and the kids loved him.  That night we had a singing at Albertville.  It was the first time for me to go with him and his new group.  I had heard them before, but didn’t give them a chance because at the time Erik had broke my heart and I didn’t want to hear him sing.  Anyways, the singing was really good, and I LOVE his new group.  We ended up having the most fun during the ride back though.

Saturday, we woke up kind of early because we had some very BIG plans that day.  We went to the mall that morning, and took care of some very important things ;) than we were off to meet Hilo and Dan at Shae’s Express.  (by the way that place is AWESOME!!!!)  We had so much fun there.  They had a live jazz band playing and me and Hil got the pork loin, Erik had the chicken, and Dan had the fish tacos.  Yea fish tacos sound nasty, but they looked really good.  I am telling you, this was the coolest place I have ever been.  It was like this little coffee shop/ restaurant.  It was so good too!!  Than we left there and went ICE SKATING!!  I haven’t been in FOREVER!!  It was so much fun!!  We had a blast, and it is def going to be hard to beat this hangout day!!  That night we went to church and had a pretty good meeting, and than some of us went to Jacks for dinner.  Sadly, Erik had to go home that night for the Funeral the next morning. 

 

Sunday, Aly, Jeremy, April, Blake, Brett, Hannah, Loren, Brit Hunter, Ross, Ben, and a lot of more visitors came to the Riv.  Than everyone came back to the house.  We had a huge snowball fight with our left over snowman snow, and it ended when I ACCIDENTALLY chunked a HUGE snowball inside the house.  aka the snowman's head.  Yea, I def had to hurry up and clean that up.  I was caught though.  After the snowball fight we talked JK into eating a spoon of Cinnamon.  Ok guys, if you haven’t ever done that, you gotta try it!!  Or, at least get someone else to do it, and be sure to video it.  The outcome is HILARIOUS!!  Aly spend the night that night, and we stayed up talking all night, as usual.

Monday morning we woke up and got ready for..wait for it..THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY!!!!  Me, Aly, JK, Ben, and Ross all loaded up and headed off to Nashville!!  ROAD TRIP!!  It was definitely..EPIC!!  We had so much fun..we made it to the Cheesecake Factory, and we had an awesome waitress.  Seriously I don’t know if she just thought we were stupid, or just really like us, but every time she walked up she was cracking up at us.  She told us that we were the most entertaining group she has had in a long time.  We had a blast.  We made some videos, and did some pretty dumb stuff, and we ate some DELICIOUS food.  After we had stuffed ourselves silly, we went into the mall.  That was pretty cool also.  We had fun, and it was time to head back home.  We of course had to stop by George Jones' house.  Yea, you read that right.  We always have to go there for Ross, he is a Huge STALKER!!  haha..than it was time to head home.  We played some fun games, wrote a few songs, danced, and pretty much acted stupid the entire way home.  Aly ended up staying the night again, and we just chilled the rest of the night.

Tuesday, we woke up and Aly came to work with me.  I got two new kids today.  They are Japanese, and the cutest kids ever.  So going to be mine and Erik’s kids.  After preschool, I had my first drama club meeting this term.  I had a huge turnout.  I ended up with 14 kids in my club.  I am super psyched.  We did some acting drills and had some fun, and than I was FINALLY off of work.  Me and Aly went to Arby's, and we finally parted ways, and I took her to meet J.  Than I came home, I cooked dinner, and I began to type this.  So, yea, I had a pretty awesome weekend.  I realize that I just typed an entire novel, but I talk a lot.  That was my whole reason to blog, so I could just talk and tell as much as I wanted.  Anyways..I guess that is all for now..so hope everyone is having a great day and I’ll post more later!!

The Week of the Snow

Oh man, so I didn't really take this snow business seriously, but buddy was I wrong!!  I mean I figured we would get a little snow, you know, enough to cancel school Monday.  I figured it would definitely be gone by Monday night.  Nope it was still here.  So every day I wake up expecting this snow to disappear magically overnight.  I just can't get over this!!  I mean, I haven't seen snow like this since I was a kid.  I am so happy that it is here though!!

So, the plan was that it would snow last Saturday night.  That way I would get stranded out on the mountain at Aly's house.  I would get to spend more time with Erik, and it would be so much fun to play in the snow with everyone out there.  Well, our plan fell through.  When we woke up Sunday morning, "Surprise..Surprise", no snow.  So I was definitely disappointed, but I still had high hopes that it would snow Sunday while I was out there.  Well, four fast time rolled around and there was no snow.  So, I headed back home to the good ole Riv.  We had cancelled church so me and JK went and got some pizza rolls and movies.  We made hot fudge cake, and than we piled up for a movie night with the fam.  I had kind of given up on the snow by that point.  Well, I guess it was around ten, one of our motion detector lights went off, and sure enough there was at least an inch of snow on the ground.  When we finished our movies, me and JK ran out and played for a little while, than we finally crashed around midnightish. 

Woke up Monday morning with a ton of snow on the ground.  I was so excited, I threw my clothes on, and JK and I ran outside.  We played so much!!  I built an entire snow family.  I made a GIGANTIC snowman, and in the middle of making it JK wanted me to stop and go play with him.  When I got back, someone down the road had tried to make a bigger one.  Well, I couldn't have that, so I decided I was going to make a gigantic snow family.  Well halfway into that, I went inside to warm up.  When I came out my other neighbors had made a snow family.  Ok, by this point  I was NOT going to be out done.  I worked all day long, and I made Daddy, Momma, Me, and Erik.  JK was responsible for making his own, but he didn't finish his.  He got bored and lazy.  So we hooked the sled to the four wheeler and rode that for awhile.  I was afraid the snow would melt so I was the last to come in.  I stayed out until around eight. 

Woke up Tuesday morning, and to my surprise we still had snow!!  Yay!!  So, me and JK grabbed our stuff, loaded up the four wheeler, and we headed to Nannies house.  Two words, FRESH SNOW!!  So we played all day and night over there.  It was a blast.  We even took Nan, Aunt Sis, and Aunt Sue Sue for some sled rides.  Of course I got video of all of them.  My cousin Emma came out and played with us also.  We made plans for all of us to meet back over there Wednesday. 

Wednesday, JK had to go to work.  I was actually bummed that I didn't have my partner in crime.  Ok..so I just got some pretty angry news.  I am not happy, and I don't feel like blogging anymore.  So for now I will end this.  I guess I will be back later.
